BLUE AGAVE NECTAR
Our Blue Agave Nectar is a tasty, natural sweetener harvested from the blue agave plant which is grown only in the fertile hills of Jalisco, Mexico. Its light delicious taste, combined with its low glycemic index, makes it the ideal healthy sweetening choice for all your daily uses. According to research done by various universities because of its slow absorption in the body it does not cause the highs and lows common with other sweeteners and is thus considered most suitable for diabetics. Blue Agave Nectar dissolves quite easily and is used to sweeten coffee, tea, even added to your cereal and milk. In recipes, use 25% less Blue Agave Nectar and be sure to reduce liquids by about 1/3.

Bayou Bengal Blend is the only coffee that is officially licensed to carry the LSU name. Sit back and enjoy a taste of the tigers. We use only the top 1% of green beans produced in Latin America to produce this cup that is pleasing to both the palate and the nose. This coffee is roasted Vienna Style which is between a medium roast and a dark roast. This keeps the natural flavor of the bean while introducing but not overpowering the bean with the flavors created from the roasting process.
